Murder, "Thou Shalt Not Kill" I wanted to paint a piece about an obvious Evil, so Murder naturally came to mind. The main thing about this painting is the "man's" hand. If you look closely something is wrong, the most obvious is the lack of a weapon. The commentary of course is that man himself is the worst possible weapon of Murder, far worse than any gun, knife or any object for that matter.  But... look again, while the man looks as if he is killing himself, the hand is not his own. See you need to pay attention to the anatomy, he cannot hold that hand in that position against his own head. So it is an illusion of suicide ... but if you look more clearly a murder  is taking place. It can be a statement on suicide ultimately being murder.... maybe. It actually is whatever you thiink it should be.
